Legendary artists

Kōkako have been working on the legend of Hatupatu's Rock in Rotorua, and Kurangaituku the bird woman.  It's an exciting story that has captured many imaginations.  Have a listen here if you are interested, or even better, ask your children to tell you the tale!

Mrs B has been teaching Kōkako class and they have created these amazing pieces with her which she photographed for me.  The children created their Hatupatu and Kurangaituku art works collaboratively in small groups.  Kaleah did the lettering all by herself.  Mrs B gave me such wonderful, positive feedback about my amazing Kōkako that made my heart burst with pride. 😁  Go Kōkako - legendary artists AND learners!
